Born in Augusta, an industrial town close to Syracuse, Luca has always busied himself caring for his surrounding natural and cultural wealth threatened by the town’s industrial activities. At the University of Reggio Calabria, his deep love for the beauty of his native land, and the unique archaeological and architectural patrimony of Sicily’s South-East region, led him to study History and Management of Natural and Cultural Resources. Luca is a licensed tour guide for Sicily as well as a licensed nature and hiking guide (AIGAE). He loves to offer light back-pack and no mobile phone excursions in the Sicilian countryside. Luca is one the founders of the “Suq. Unconventional Sicily” magazine. Amongst his many other interests, local cuisine stands foremost, viewing it as a profound aspect of culture, and as a clear manifestation of love!
