Born in Romania, Cristina moved to Sicily over 20 years ago. Although it wasn’t love at first sight, throughout the years, she grew fond of the island, its rich and convoluted history, culture and food traditions. Cristina has a degree in European Languages and Cultures from the University of Catania. She now works as a tour guide in Eastern Sicily and has two great interests that she likes to share with visitors: early Christian symbols and culinary traditions. She is currently collecting traditional Sicilian recipes from Sicilian women in view of publishing a cookbook.
