A full-day excursion in the area of Castelbuono, heart of the Madonie Park, for an easy hike that runs through superb Giant Hollies, a pic-nic in the wood and a visit of the estate of a young producer of Manna.
Sicily’s wetlands
A half day hike on the Nebrodi Mountains, through the dense beech forest of Monte Soro, all the way to the Sollazzo Verde wood, which surrounds Maulazzo Lake, one of the highest wetlands in Sicily.
Among the giant Megaliths and the oak trees
A full-day walk in some spectacular areas of the Nebrodi Mountains, starting from the megaliths of Argimusco, with the Aeolian islands, Capo Milazzo, the Calabrian coast, the Rock of Novara and the Etna mountain seemingly at your fingertips, followed by the Malabotta woods nature reserve, full of superb colossal oak trees with their twisted branches, a real monument of Nature.
