Carmine has multiple University degrees. She studied Archaeology at the University of palermo, and Prehistory at the University of Bari. Carmine taught paleoanthropology at the University of Catania for 5 years, during which she started to guide groups of university students and travelers alike in archaeological sites and other places of interest. She is now a full time licensed guide in the Syracuse area. Carmine has published two guidebooks: The history of Syracuse” and “The Maniace Castle”. Carmine has a particular interest in Jewish history in Sicily, and also leads tours that are connected to the history of the Jewish community in Syracuse and Sicily at large.
