Best of all was our tour of Morgantina with Serena; she very kindly picked us up and it was an absolute privilege to be taken round the site by an archaeologist with such a long involvement and deep knowledge of it. What a fascinating site and in such beautiful surroundings. I think we would have found it difficult to navigate and understand on our own. We were almost the only people there, a lovely contrast to the Villa Romana!

è stato un grande piacere conoscerti ieri. Hai fatto benissimo la guida-cicerone sia a Piazza Armerina che a Morgantina. Siamo tornati tutti contentissimi con l’esperienza. Ne abbiamo anche parlato molto a cena. Grazie tante di tutto.
I mosaici hanno fatto naturalmente impressione. Però anche di più il sito di Morgantina. Il motivo: il fatto che, nonostante il fascino dei mosaici, alla villa romana c’è un po’ di confusione con la quantità di visitatori, invece alla città greca ci siamo trovati – in un posto molto suggestivo e talmente ben spiegato da te – praticamente da soli.
In ogni caso, è stata una giornata molto ricca. Gervase R.
