Graduated summa cum laude in Multimedia Communication Sciences from Kore University of Enna, with a Master’s Degree in Modern Languages and Literatures, Marta has always worked in the communication and tourism fields. Massimo is a Sicilian native. As a student, he was involved in business-related studies for years before making somewhat of a U-turn and getting a Master’s in Tourism management and administration. Massimo has also years of teaching experience in high school, and he has served as a teaching assistant at the University of Messina. He holds multiple degrees in various fields. Today, animated by his love for Sicily’s rich cultural and natural heritage (Massimo is also a certified environmental hiking guide) he provides engaging and immersive tours and excursions in Eastern Sicily, including both urban and rural contexts. His love for architectural and natural masterpieces as well as community traditions transpires in all the walks he leads.

Giuseppe holds a Bachelor’s degree in Languages and Foreign Literature as well as a Master’s degree in Tourism and Territory, with a focus on eco-sustainability. Giuseppe also has experience working at various educational institutions in Sicily. In addition to leading cultural tours in the Val di Noto, he also works at the Noto Infopoint. Passionate about his territory and the impact that tourism has on it, he has been working with Legambiente Noto since 2017. Proficient in English and French, Giuseppe also has foundational knowledge of Spanish and Arabic. A native of Noto, Giuseppe knows his town and the entire Val di Noto area inside out. He has featured in many documentaries made on Noto, and his enthusiasm for his land transpires in all the tours that he leads.

A native of Palermo, Giulia is an art historian and tour guide with a wealth of experience in the fields of art and culture. She holds a degree in History of Art from the University of Palermo and a Master’s in Art and European Cultures from the University of Naples. She also earned a PhD in Medieval, Modern, and Contemporary Art, focusing her thesis on Private Collections of Contemporary Art in Sicily. After completing her studies, Giulia worked at the Künstlerhaus in Hamburg, Germany, before returning to Palermo to contribute to the local art scene. Sabrina has been a licensed Tour Guide in Sicily since 2003. She graduated in Foreign Languages and Literature from the University of Catania and she started working as a guide for numerous museums and places of historic interest. She has created thematic tours for the “Parco Letterario Salvatore Quasimodo for years, and she has taught in schools as an external expert. Sabrina enjoys organizing cultural events at VIA, her cultural association, which is dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the Byzantine cave church of San Nicolò Inferiore, “Luogo del Cuore” of the Fondo Ambiente Italiano and of the National Trust of Italy. Sabrina has written many essays and articles. Among her latest publications, we find “Un giorno a Noto” (2023). She is fond of arts and she is also an avid traveler.

Elisabeth is an expert on the archaeological site of Selinunte. She has a M.A. Degree in Ethnology from the University of Georg August in Gottingen, Germany. Elisabeth has 20 years of experience as a licensed guide and as an assistant during the yearly archaeological campaigns led by the Rome Archaeological Institute. Elisabeth leads small groups of enthusiastic travelers throughout the largest Greek archaeological site of the entire Mediterranean world, as well as other places of interest in the Trapani province of Sicily. Elisabeth’s attention is never far from Selinunte’s complex history and lovely landscape, and she never misses an opportunity to exchange with archaeologists and other experts who come from various parts of Europe and beyond, to study this unique site.

Elisabeth has a M.A. in Management of Natural and Cultural Resources for tourism related businesses and Public administrations. She has studied and worked in Swizerland before settling in the Madonie, where she has been leading tours, including Cefalù, Castelbuono and other Sicilian urban and rural jewels. Elisabeth speaks English, Dutch and French, and is knowledgeable not just about the culture and traditions specific to the Madonie but to the whole island.

Curiosity and love for my land are the driving force behind most of my life and work. I started my education with a degree in Modern Literature, and then specialized in teaching History of Art. But my path was not to be a teacher. In 2009 I founded a cultural association with other colleagues to promote new ways of experiencing Sicily, and to organize cultural events in my native city that is Catania. My interests are broad, encompassing history, art and archaeology, and their relationship with the volcano and its traditions.
