Terms and Conditions of Service

Passage to Sicily's terms and conditions of service applicable to single tours and services

Tour and service requests will not be accepted unless you agree to these terms and conditions.

1. Booking
Payment is required in full at the time of booking.

Paying for your private tours and services:

Please do not proceed with your payment until you receive a pre-booking confirmation email for the tour(s) and or services that you have requested from us.

Payments can be made via bank transfers (our bank account details can be found on our online booking page) or by credit card, including via PayPal (+4% commission will be added to debit/credit card payment to cover the charges levied upon us by the company).

For customized tours, we charge a nonrefundable planning fee, payable at the time of your initial inquiry. Please note that the payment of this fee entitles you to 3 revised drafts of your itinerary. Additional changes to your itinerary can be made for an additional charge.

Once we receive your payment, we will send you an email that will detail the place and time of meeting with your expert guide(s), as well as any other arrangements made for your tour(s).

2. Itinerary variations and refund policy
We reserve the right to change any tours or services without any penalty in case of circumstances beyond our control. In such a case, we shall do our very best to provide an equivalent and/or suitable alternative. In such an eventuality, Passage to Sicily shall promptly inform you of the changes to be made via e-mail.
If an unforeseeable event obliged us to cancel a tour or service, you would then be promptly informed and offered a full refund.

It is the travellers’ responsibility to get to the meeting point at the stated time. If you drive, please allow plenty of time to get to your meeting point. Although our guides wait as long as possible, we do not refund missed tours.  If you know that you will be delayed, please contact your guide at the earliest opportunity.

If you wish to cancel your booking, please advise us through writing.  Please note that we do not refund planning fees, when they apply. Also, note that we take as the day of cancellation that on which we receive written confirmation of your wish to cancel your booking.

- If we receive notification of your cancellation up to 30 days prior to the first tour or service date, you will be refunded 90% of the total amount charged, minus any planning fees, if they apply.
- If we receive notification of your cancellation between 29 and 7 days prior to the first tour or service date, you will be refunded 50% of the total charged, minus any planning fees, if they apply.
- If we receive notification of your cancellation less than 7 days prior to the first tour or service date, you will not receive any refund.

If you are eligible for any refund or reimbursement from Passage to Sicily, such a refund or reimbursement will be made according to the method of payment at the time of purchase. Please note that commission charges relating to credit card payments shall not be reimbursed.

3. Liability
Passage to Sicily, its associates, tour guides or representatives are not liable for any personal injury, death, property damage or loss sustained by any traveler as a result of their participation in a tour or activity offered by Passage to Sicily.

Passage to Sicily is not liable for any additional expenses or inconveniences caused directly or indirectly by events that are unforeseeable and beyond our reasonable control, such as transportation failure or delays.

4. Insurance
We do not provide you with a travel insurance. We thus recommend you to purchase a travel insurance to cover such things as medical treatment, repatriation, theft and loss of property.

No package tour request will be accepted unless you agree to these terms and conditions.

1. Our package offers
Paying for a package offer:
Please do not proceed with your payment until you receive a pre-booking confirmation email for the package which you have requested from us.

A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking.
The balance of the tour cost must be received by us not less than 10 weeks prior to departure.
If you are booking less than 10 weeks before departure, full payment for all tours must be made at the time of booking.

Payments can be made via bank transfers (our bank account details can be found on our online booking page) or by credit card, including via PayPal (+4% commission will be added to debit/credit card payment to cover the charges levied upon us by the company).

We provide full details of the arrangements made by Passage to Sicily for your package tour (hotel reservations, guided tours, transfer(s), etc.), after reception of your full payment.

2. Tailored package tours
Booking details as per our package offers

For tailored package tours, we charge a planning fee that is commensurate to the complexity and length of your trip. Please note that the payment of this fee entitles you to 3 revised drafts of your itinerary. Additional changes to your itinerary can be made for an additional fee.

3. Pricing
Our rates for package tours are per person, exclude air travels, and are based on double occupancy (upon availability, a single room may be provided for an additional charge).
Accommodations are chosen with care, and all are regularly checked by a member of staff, to ensure that they meet the highest possible standard.

4. Itinerary variations and refund policy

If you wish to cancel your booking, please advise us through writing.  Please note that we do not refund planning fees, when they apply. Also, note that we take as the day of cancellation that on which we receive written confirmation of your wish to cancel your booking.

- If we receive notification of your cancellation up to 70 days prior to your arrival, you will be refunded 100% of the total amount charged, minus any planning fees, if they apply.
- If we receive notification of your cancellation between 69 and 60 days to your arrival, you will be refunded 90% of the total amount charged, minus any planning fees, if they apply.
- If we receive notification of your cancellation between 59 and 30 days prior to your arrival, you will be refunded 50% of the total amount charged, minus any planning fees, if they apply.
- If we receive notification of your cancellation less than 30 days prior to your arrival, you won’t be entitled to any refund.

Important: if you are self-driving, it is your responsibility to reach your meeting places on time. Please allow plenty of time to get to your meeting point. Although our guides wait as long as possible, we do not refund missed tours.  If you know that you will be delayed, please contact your guide at the earliest opportunity.

If you are eligible for any refund or reimbursement from Passage to Sicily, such a refund or reimbursement will be made according to the method of payment at the time of purchase. Please note that commission charges relating to credit card payments shall not be reimbursed.

5. Liability
Passage to Sicily, its tour guides or representatives are not liable for any personal injury, death, property damage or loss sustained by any traveler as a result of their participation in a tour or activity offered by us.
Passage to Sicily is not liable for any additional expenses or inconveniences caused directly or indirectly by events that are unforeseeable and beyond our reasonable control, including, for example, transportation failure or delays.
We do not accept responsibility for any services that do not form part of our tour offer. These include, for example, additional services which a hotel or any other supplier agrees to provide for you, or any excursion you purchase locally, and all things that we have not agreed to arrange for you, as part of our contract. Any complaint relating to such services should be taken up with their providers directly, as we will have no liability in relation to such services.
We do not accept responsibility for any damage or loss caused by you or any other person travelling with you. Full payment for any such damage/loss must be made to the supplier directly (hotel manager, private transporter) or to us as soon as possible. You will also be responsible for meeting any claims subsequently made against us and all costs incurred by us as a result of your actions.

6. Insurance
We do not provide you with a travel insurance. We thus recommend you to purchase a travel insurance to cover such things as medical treatment, repatriation, theft and loss of property.

7. Travellers with special needs:
Any significant disability (or dietary restrictions) need to be mentioned at the time of booking, as some sites aren’t suitable for people with certain physical disabilities. Of course, we always try our very best to meet our clients’needs, yet we aren’t responsible if a third party such as an independent service supplier fails to accommodate a traveller who has a disability.

Termini e clausole di servizio per singoli tour e servizi

Non si accetteranno richieste di servizi e tour senza l’accettazione dei seguenti termini e delle seguenti clausole:

1.Prenotazioni

Pagamento per i vostri tour privati:

Vi preghiamo di eseguire il pagamento soltanto dopo avere ricevuto conferma tramite posta elettronica  della pre-prenotazione per i vostri tour.

Il pagamento va saldato per intero al momento della prenotazione.

Il pagamento può essere effettuato tramite bonifico (gli estremi del conto bancario sono reperibili sulla nostra pagina on  line per la prenotazione) o tramite carta di credito, includendo PayPal (il pagamento con carta di debito/credito prevede 4% di commissione).

Una volta ricevuto il pagamento, riceverete una posta elettronica che preciserà il tempo e  il luogo di incontro con la vostra guida o le vostre guide, e darà le spiegazioni necessarie inerenti al vostro tour.

In caso di rimborso da parte di Passage to Sicily, tale rimborso sarà fatto con lo stesso metodo di pagamento utilizzato al momento della prenotazione.

2.Variazioni nell’itinerario e politica di rimborso

Ci riserviamo il diritto di cambiare i servizi o i tour senza alcuna penale nel caso di circostanze che vadano al di là del nostro controllo. In tal caso, faremo del nostro meglio per offrire un’alternativa equivalente e/o conveniente. In  tal caso, Passage to Sicily vi informerà per posta elettronica dei cambiamenti. Se un evento imprevedibilei ci costringesse a cancellare un tour o un servizio,sarete subito informati e rimborsati totalmente.

E’ responsabilità del viaggiatore presentarsi al punto di incontro all’ora stabilita. Se arrivate in automobile, prevedete un ampio lasso di tempio per arrivare al punto di incontro.  Anche se le nostre guide attendono il più lungo possibile, non si rimborsano i tour perduti. Se sapete che tarderete, vi preghiamo di contattare la vostra guida al più presto possibile.

Vi preghiamo di avvisarci per iscritto, nel caso desideriate annullare la vostra prenotazione. Non si rimborsano spese di programmazione, nel caso vi siano state. Si considera giorno dell’annullamento quello in cui si riceve  per iscritto conferma del vostro desiderio di annullare la prenotazione.

  • Se riceviamo notifica del vostro annullamento fino a 30 giorni prima della data del primo tour o del primo servizio, vi verrà rimborsato il 90% dell’ammontare totale a vostro carico, meno le competenze di programmazione, laddove applicabile.
  • Se riceviamo notifica del vostro annullamento, fra il ventinovesimo e il settimo giorno prima della data del primo tour o del primo servizio, vi verrà rimborsato il 50% dell’ammontare totale a vostro carico, meno le competenze di programmazione, laddove applicabile.
  • Se riceviamo notifica del vostro annullamento, meno di 7 giorni prima della data del primo tour o del primo servizio, non vi sarà alcun rimborso.

3.Responsabilità

Passage to Sicily, i suoi associati, le guide turistiche o i rappresentanti non sono responsabili di alcun danno, morte, danno alla proprietà o perdita subita dal viaggiatore come risultato della partecipazione a un tour o un’attività offerta da Passage to Sicily.

Passage to Sicily non è responsabile di alcuna spesa supplementare o di inconvenienti causati direttamente o indirettamente da eventi imprevedibili e indipendenti da un nostro ragionevole controllo, come i ritardi o i guasti dei mezzi di trasporto (vettori).

4. Assicurazione

Non viene fornita un’assicurazione di viaggio. Pertanto raccomandiamo di fornirsi di assicurazione di viaggio per coprire spese di cure mediche, rimpatrio, furto o perdita di proprietà.
